When two talented artists ask you to make a piece for their shoot, you of course say yes! I have the joy to work with a lot of gifted folks in Minneapolis & around the world. However, there is something special about the wedding community here; the spirit of community and collaboration is beautiful! Here a few peeks from the shoot. This suite features painted edges on handmade paper created by the lovely Fabulous Fancy Pants, gold calligraphy script, and a simple elegant layout, all tied with our naturally dyed silk ribbon. While this suite is a gorgeous hand painted piece, we also offer letterpress and foiling for our real-wedding suites.
This summer, I had the joy to work with a host of local talent on this shoot for Hotel Ivy. Walking into this place was like stepping back in time, channeling a bit of Joan Holloway in this almost Mad Men-esque suite. Images by Jaimee Morse. Other vendors include Belle Noelle Events & Design, La Petite Fleur, The Cookie Creative, SuzanneHarward, Champagne and Macaroons, Laura Rae Photography, Minny and Paul, Rock With U MPLS, Middlebeaups, JBHudson Jewelers, Studio C Floral, and the ever-talented Maven Events.
I am completely in love with this shoot. I was approached by Allison Markova this summer to create a few pieces to compliment their vision for a Free People inspired New England coastal shoot - welcome to Beavertail State Park, Jamestown, Rhode Island.
The paper used is a combination of sheets & envelopes handmade by Meredith Spradley over at Fabulous Fancy Pants & a large sheet of deckle-edge-goodness from Papeterie Saint-Armand. Watercolor cranberry ink to round out the symphony of autumn colors!
Things are busy as ever in the shop these days! Here is a belated peek at our styled shoot last month in New Market, Minnesota! Kristen Dyer is a master of photography and beautifully captured our tablescape, styled by the lovely ladies at Paper White MN. Who new wax flowers were so gorgeous? I think I've just always written them off because of their name, but the pinks and creams perfectly complimented the pewter and silver tones scattered among the eucalyptus on our pallet wood table. We used Silk and Willow handmade paper and wrapped it all up in dove gray chiffon ribbon.
