This week I've been rereading the Chronicles of Narnia and I find myself continually inspired by Queen Lucy, the valiant - when I was little I had to dress up like my favorite story book character and of course I chose her. At first, I admired Susan because she was the elder, more 'beautiful' sister - plus she used a bow & arrow. But as the stories continued, she lost her imagination and love of Narnia. She grew up. But Lucy always watched for the Lion and he loved her tenderly. She was not Queen Susan, the gentle or fair, but Valiant. My friend Katie said it best: valiant - grace and glory combined in one word.
I hope you enjoy this little print I made for the occasion.
