Semi-custom suites include 2 complimentary rounds of revisions (Initial Draft + Final Draft) which include minor text changes and 1 calligraphy rewrite.
We recommend communicating desired changes in groups or all at once to prevent the need for extra revision rounds. Additional revision rounds may be purchased for $100/ea, subject to availability.

The complimentary revisions exclude major text changes, additional calligraphy rewrites, or significant alterations to existing styles which are considered "custom work." Customer will be notified if the work requested qualifies as custom work and will be given the option to purchase additional revision rounds.  Final invoicing will be adjusted accordingly at the discretion of Shasta Bell Calligraphy. We do our best to accommodate your desired design and content, but we reserve the right to adjust wording, layout, style and to substitute calligraphy with typeface as needed based on our artistic judgment.

Once your deposit has been processed, your supplies will be ordered. Any changes to invitation quantity, color, embellishments or style after supplies are ordered will be subject to additional charges and will not be refunded. This does not apply to script style or layout.

After a draft has been sent by Shasta Bell Calligraphy, the client agrees to submit revisions or approval by the listed date on the agreed upon timeline. Failure to do so could result in significant delays in delivery.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are considering changes to your original proposal or final design.

Clients must approve final designs before they are printed/inked. This does not apply to individual envelope addresses or place cards, but rather the general script style chosen. All customers are responsible for double checking the design during the drafting/design process and giving final approval for the following elements (but not limited to):
Paper Size & Color
Ink Color (keep in mind that light colored inks can be difficult to read for certain guests)
Style
Font Size
Content & Spelling

Colors may vary slightly from what you see on your screen, and requests for reprints based on color will be assessed on a case by case basis and charged accordingly. If you are concerned about readability or color, you may request a free printed proof of your design before it is printed or produced (does not include the cost of shipping), this option is not available for letterpress or foil suites. Once the final draft is approved, any misspellings or design issues are the responsibility of the client.

Each addressed envelope is considered a unique work of art produced by human hands; therefore, although we offer distinct script styles there may be slight variances between each envelope. By purchasing calligraphy addressing, you are agreeing to trust the artist's discretion and taste. Although we double check all of our products before shipping, human eyes sometimes miss spelling errors. If you need an envelope readdressed we will send a correction within 1 week. However, if the error is found on the address/name information sheet provided by you, a refund will not be offered and new addressed envelopes will sent at our earliest convenience.

We love collaborating with our clients to realize their wedding paper dreams. During the custom design process, it can be helpful to reference inspiration images while determining the aesthetic direction of your suite. However, we greatly value the originality of our work and respect for other artists, therefore we reserve the right to refuse certain design elements, wording, or layouts, etc. if we judge that the overall project or specific elements begin to infringe on the originality of the work.  Initial concepts represented in mood boards may reference inspiration images but do not necessarily represent final artwork, including any specific wording. During the design process, if we judge that a part of your project needs adjustment to maintain integrity and avoid copying another artist’s work, you will be notified and we will work with you to find the best fit that represents a better aesthetic and ethical design direction.

Due to the nature of our products and production schedule, all payments are non-refundable.  This policy includes but is not limited to any and all retainers, deposits, and final payments.  If the client decides after a retainer and/or deposit and/or additional payments are purchased, that they no longer wish to continue working with us, for any reason, no refund will be issued. The client may appeal to Shasta Bell Calligraphy in writing if they feel their case merits a special circumstance and we will review it and make a judgment at our discretion. If we feel the project design infringes on our design integrity & ethics and the client wishes to end their contract, no refund will be offered. Any refunds that do occur make take up to 10 business days to return to your bank account.

After final design approval is given by the customer via email or other written message or approval, products will enter into production. Due to a high level of requests, we cannot guarantee a delivery window until a retainer or deposit is received. Prospective clients are not considered officially booked until a proposal has been approved, the contract has been signed and a retainer or deposit has been purchased. We recommend prospective clients move through their proposal approval process quickly to avoid the loss of their hopeful project delivery window.

Day of goods are an integral part of a wedding day.  We do our best to accommodate unique situations but our schedule fills up quickly and in order to plan the appropriate amount of time for each project, we recommend planning and purchasing your day of items early. As stated above, we do not consider work officially on our calendar until a retainer or deposit payment has been received. We recommend clients and wedding planners contact us at least 3 months in advance to plan the general items in your day-of package. Specific design details do not need to be decided at this time, but the purchase of a deposit for items such as “menus” “programs” “etc.” should be made well in advance of the wedding date.  We can accommodate small changes or additions to your original day of goods plan, at our discretion, but with few exceptions are we unable to accommodate additions less than 3 months before their due date.

Production time is subject to artist availability. We do our best to honor our clients’ requested due dates, especially special event orders, but please note that during our busy season (January-May) production times may vary. A rough delivery estimate shall be agreed upon by Shasta Bell Calligraphy and the customer before purchase; however, changes in design may affect projected production time and may delay your order. Additionally, although our production team works efficiently to create your stationery, times may vary due to the handmade nature of the work and specific delivery dates are not guaranteed.

We take great pride in our craftsmanship and ability to work with handmade materials. Due to the nature of handmade paper, its organic texture and rough edges, printing methods may contain small imperfections such as minor printing alignment issues or metallic foil abrasion. For projects involving handmade materials, we quality check each item to be sure it meets our standard of acceptability before sending on to the client.

IF YOU ARE AT ALL CONCERNED ABOUT THIS,WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND REQUESTING EARLIER DELIVERY DATES BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR DEPOSIT. Keep in mind that hand addressed, hand-cancelled or wax sealed envelopes can sometimes take longer to arrive to guests than standard mail.
